Cincinnati Swords Learn to Skate Program

Who: Anyone wanting to learn to skate towards playing on a hockey team or figure skating in competitions and exhibitions. 
What: Learn to Skate USA curriculum
When: Sundays 5:45-6:45 pm 
Where: Sports Plus 10765 Reading Rd Cincinnati, OH 45241
Why: Because we have a passion for ice sports and we think you will too!
How much: $175 for 10 full weeks in cludes ice, coaching and rental skates.  Payment increases by $50 if paid less than 72 hours prior to the 1st class
Fall Session: October 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, 21 December 5, 12, 19
                            October 31 time is 1:15-2:15pm
Winter Session: January 9, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27

Registrations include the option to select your skater's level.  Information on the various levels below:

Snowplow Sam 1-4 for skaters ages 4-5 (Click here for curriculum for Snowplow Sam)
     1 -  fall and recover, march forward, and more
     2 - glide, dip and forward swizzle and more
     3 - Backward swizzles, stops and more
     4 - Backward glides, turns and more
Basic Skills 1-6 for skaters ages 6+ (Click here for curriculum for Basic Skills)
     1- Fall and recover, march, dip and swizzle
     2 - Backward skills and more
     3 - turns, stops and more
     4 - Forward edges, Backward pumps, Backward glides and more
     5 - Backward edges, Forward crossovers and more
     6 - Turns, stops, and more
Freeskate Class - Pre-FreeSkate - Free-Skate 6 for skaters who have successfully completed Basic 1-6 (Click here for curriculum for Freeskate)   Skills will include Spins, Jumps, and Turns from Pre FS  - FS 6
Hockey 1-4 Skating Skills for individuals needing skating skills to move into Learn to Play Hockey and then on to a team! (Click here for curriculum for Hockey)
     1 - Fall and recover, march forward, Forward Swizzles, T-pushes and more
     2 - Forward strides, Backward swizzles, 1 foot pushes, snow plow stops and more
     3 - Forward and backward c-cuts, Backward stops and more
     4 - Backward one foot glides, Forward and Backward crossovers, hockey stops and more
